Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, has become a household name after being nominated as the running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Mahama.
Apart from the fact that she is one of the few women to have had the privilege of being the running mate of a major political party in Ghana, she has been praised by many for her numerous achievements.
The veteran educationist became the first female first Vice-Chancellor of a public university in Ghana after she was appointed to head University of Cape Coast (UCC) in 2008.
The former Education Minister has also received many awards both in Ghana and abroad for her enterprising work in the education sector.
