Former Barcelona and PSG legend Ronaldinho has been arrested in Paraguay after allegedly using fake documents to enter the South American country.
The 39-year-old was detained alongside his brother Roberto and held at the Resort Yacht & Golf Club Paraguayo on Wednesday night, the Ministry of Interior of Paraguay confirmed.
According to Goal, two passports bearing the names of Ronaldinho and Roberto with Paraguayan nationality were recovered at the hotel.
As per Paraguayan police, the 2002 World Cup winner and his entourage had been invited into the country by casino owner Nelson Belotti.
Ronaldinho and his brother have been arrested for entering Paraguay with fake passports.
His fake passport shows his correct name, birthplace, and birthdate, but it falsely suggests that he’s a naturalized Paragauay citizen. 🇵🇾😳 pic.twitter.com/x4qBTijJMQ
