Nairobi governor Ann Kananu has responded to claims that she shows up to work drunk.
In an exclusive interview with the Star’s Maureen Kinyanjui, Ann set the record straight.
“We are in a political season and I would love to say this, I’m a business woman and I own several clubs in Nairobi and other counties. I did not start this business today, there have been running for the last 4 years so those who see me, see me in one of my places.”
She Explained,
“As a director, I have the right to go see how my business is. I would love to tell you that nothing has stopped at the county. Every day we work 8 am to 5 pm. For me, I work 24 hours.”
She continued,
“Even some people, will call me and I will tell them to come for a meeting somewhere. That doesn’t mean I’m a drunkard.”
Ann noted,
“I want to tell you that nothing has stopped at the county, I chair so many cabinet meetings and we don’t want to thrive on propaganda. Let us be focused for the people of Nairobi
