Kenya Confirms First Coronavirus Case

The Ministry of Health has confirmed that a Kenyan woman who traveled from the USA to Nairobi via London on the 5th of March; has tested positive for the Corona Virus.

According to the Daily Nation breaking news, Mutahi Kagwe suspends all public gatherings, inter-school events; directs PSVs to provide hand sanitizers for passengers.

The patient is currently quarantined at Kenyatta National Hospital’s Infectious Disease Unit and will not be released until she is confirmed negative.

The government also says it has traced all contacts the patient made since her arrival.
