Kenyans are a crazy lot.

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has revealed that some unnamed individuals held parties at quarantine facilities with little regard to the danger they were exposing themselves to.

This comes as the number of coronavirus infections in the country continues to rise with 126 confirmed cases that have resulted in four deaths so far.

Addressing the media on April 4, the CS said the individuals will spend 14 more days at the facilities owing to the fact that there could be infections as a result of the social gathering and body contact.

“There those who went on partying sprees in quarantine facilities, against every protocol issued. We have instructed our medical teams to extend quarantine period in facilities that have individuals who need another 14 days, given contacts have tested positive,” he said.
