Sarkodie is reportedly under fire on Twitter after the social media hash tag #fixthecountry exploded as he remained quiet.
Ghanaians on social media are using the hash tag to express their displeasure with the government for mismanaging the country and claiming that Ghanaians deserve more.
Unlike Twene Jonas, who rose to fame overnight for his relentless pressure on the government to make Ghana a better place through his videos, Ghanaians believe Sarkodie is a hypocrite because he has a larger audience than Twene Jonas but has chosen to remain silent due to his political affiliations.
They say that when the NPP government took over the country in 2017, Sarkodie became hypocritical. They argue that Sarkodie, who was once known to speak the truth about certain issues in the region, has now retreated into his shell like a coward.
This is due to Sarkodie’s release of a song in 2016/2017 condemning the then-Government (NDC) for bad governance. Below are few Twitter screenshots.
