US Rapper Rick Ross Is Coming To Uganda

American rapper and songwriter Rick Ross is set to make a trip to Uganda after the COVID-19 disease has been wiped out.

Although a date has not been set yet, adverts have started running.

Although the dates are yet to be announced, Swangz Avenue has maintained that the concert will take place immediately the country is given a go-ahead to hold shows.

Rick Ross is a rapper and entrepreneur who was the first artist signed to P. Diddy’s Ciroc Entertainment.

He founded his own music label, Maybach Music Group, in 2009. Rick Ross is a five-time Grammy Award Nominee and his Gold Rose song featuring Drake was nominated as Best Hip Hop song in the 2020 Grammy Awards.

“Following government of Uganda’s health regulations, CTI AFRICA brings a Post COVID-19 event dubbed the Uganda Benefit Concert featuring Rick Ross of MayBach Music Group; a concert to support health workers in Kampala Uganda,” reads a statement by the organisers of the show.

“The Uganda Benefit Concert is designed to celebrate and re-ignite the Ugandan Spirit, the culture and most importantly to share hope” – David Mihigo, Head of Marketing and Partnerships CTI AFRICA, the main promoter.

“As an appreciation to health workers for their hard work, perseverance and sacrifices that they made to ensure the wellbeing of each citizen across the country, the Uganda Benefit Concert aims to appreciate and celebrate them while giving them support to do more. The concert will also have a lineup of several Ugandan and African artists.”
