President Uhuru’s fashion sense has been top notch lately and this time round, his new African print shirt is the talk of town after a set of pillows was likened to it.
Uhuru rocked the said shirt on this day, Wednesday, August 26 during his highly anticipated presidential address in recent days.
To say the least, he was elegant in the brown kitenge.
Whereas the agenda for most Kenyans was to find out if Covid-19 containment measures had been eased, the president’s shirt took all the spotlight.
It all began when a photo of a set of pillows bearing the same color and prints as the president’s shirt made an online appearance.
Several jokes came streaming in afterwards.

Kenyans are an interesting lot. Of everything President Uhuru Kenyatta has done & said, the only thing they decided to take from the speech was: His shirt which to me looks like a promotion of EPZ and the opening of bars.

It must be noted that this is not the first time the country boss’s shirt has sparked reactions.
Sources indicate that his latest print shirts which he has been rocking since March this year are locally tailored and designed by a textile firm based in Eldoret.
The firm’s director once revealed that the President ordered the shirts frequently and that they were designed specifically to capture his tastes and size.
“The President is our number one marketer and we laud him for constantly taking the lead in promotion of local products,” he remarked.
