Maroon 5’s bassist, Mickey Madden was allegedly arrested in Los Angeles on Saturday, June 27, upon suspicions of domestic violence.
E! News reports that Mickey violated the California penal code which prohibits any willful inflict of corporal injury that could result cause a trauma on a spouse or cohabitant.
However, the 41-year-old was released on the same day on a $50,000 bond.
It remains unclear who the victim in question is and the cause of the abuse.
In a statement to Page Six, the band’s spokesperson expressed their devastation in the incident they described as ‘disappointing.’
“We are deeply devastated by this disappointing news. As we learn more, we are looking at this very seriously. For now, we are allowing all of the individuals involved the space to work things through,” He said.
Madden has not commented on his arrest publicly yet.
He alongside Adam Levine formed Maroon 5 in 1994.
