Meet the Kibera fashion genius who is designing cool face masks.

Kibera fashion genius has come up with a designer face mask that reduces the risk of COVID-19.

David Ochieng is a self-made street fashion designer who uses the brand name Looks Like Avido. He was born and raised in Kibra slums and fashion has been his passion.

Speaking about his creations in the Vogue Italia feature, Avido said:

Under his brand, Looks Like Avido, the designer that deals in making handmade clothes from Kibera slums has also decided to make face masks.

Their are not to surgically structured to prevent coronavirus but they will help the wearer to avoid touching their face and removing the virus from their hands to their face which then leads to infection.

Taking to his twitter on the handle, @lookslike_avido, the young designer wrote:

JUST REACH OUT! IF IT CAN HELP YOU WITH ONE OR TWO WAYS WITH THE ONGOING SITUATION OF CORONAVIRUS JUST HIT ME UP

Avido has dressed top entertainers like Vanessa Mdee, Cecile, the late Hon Ken Okoth, Christopher Martin, Hollywood actress Connie Nielsen, Octopizzo, Big Ted, Naiboi, Bank Slave, Talia Oyando and Nasty C among others.
