Magufuli Demotes Top State Official For “Chewing” Other People’s Wives

Tanzanian president, John Pombe Magufuli is reported to have publicly demoted one of his top government officials for allegedly sleeping with other people’s wives.

According to reports, Magufuli was in Kisarawe launching a water project on Sunday, June 28,  when he revealed that the area’s DAS Mtela Mwapamba was behaving unethically.

Speaking during the televised event, Magufuli revealed that he had warmed the official of his illicit hobby but the latter did not change his behavior.

“I have one of my administrators who I have been informed his conduct is not in line with the required ethics. There are allegations that he is even sleeping with other people’s wives. I tried to warm him but I think that did not work well and he has not changed his behavior,” the Head of State said.

The president proceeded to tell the other officials at the gathering to inform Mwapamba who was absent that he had been demoted to a junior role and will be working elsewhere.

“I want you to inform him that as from today he has been sacked from his position as DAS.I want you to get him a junior role which he can manage but he should not work here,” he added.

He went on to order the Coast Region commissioner Everist Ndikilo to propose Mwapamba’s replacement.

Ndikilo proposed an administrative officer in his office and a junior to Mwapamba, Mwanana Msumi.

Amidst cheers from the crowd, Magufuli instructed the relevant departments to inform the Public Service Board of the new changes.
