Kenyan Hollywood star Lupita Nyong’o bagged two awards at the 51st NAACP Image Awards which was held on Saturday, February 22, at Los Angeles, California.
The multi-award-winning actress won the best actress award for her role in Jordan Peele’s horror movie Us and subsequently won the Outstanding Literary work for children with her book, Sulwe.
The awards become the latest decoration in Lupita’s career since she made a name for herself in the 2014 Academy Awards, also known as The Oscars for her role as Pasty in another moving film, 12 Years a Slave.
