Mr. Logic, a controversial entertainment commentator and artiste management, said Yaw Tog’s “shout-outs to my enemies” statement was a direct strike at him.
Recall that the young Kumasi-based Hip Hop/Drill rapper won the Hip Hop Song of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) over the weekend with his hit song “Sore,” which includes the Asakaa boys.
Yaw Tog entered the stage to win his first VGMA award after defeating artists such as Medikal, Dead Peepol, Bosom PYung, Kweku Flick, Eno Barony, Kwesi Arthur, Kofi Jamar, and Joey B. In his acceptance speech, Yaw Tog thanked his fans, loved ones, and, most importantly, his detractors.
Recall that a few weeks ago, on Hitz FM’s ‘Day Break Hitz’ morning show hosted by Andy Dosty, the entertainment commentator claimed that Yaw Tog doesn’t make reasonable songs and that he’s only living off the excitement of the current Drill music trends.
Mr. Logic also claimed that he doesn’t understand why the 22nd VGMAs organizers had to arrange his reserved seat right next to Yaw Tog in the auditorium last Saturday, knowing well well that the two aren’t on speaking terms.
