KiDi, also known as Dennis Dwamena in private, has spoken out after losing the grand prize at the 2021 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA 2021).
KiDi had been heavily favored to win Artiste of the Year, and the night began well for him.
KiDi had already won four awards before the final two categories, Song and Artiste of the Year, were revealed.
However, he was unable to go as promised, since he lost the remaining prizes to gospel singer Diana Hamilton.
KiDi rushed to social media shortly after Hamilton’s announcement to thank God and his supporters. He also used his Twitter account to congratulate Diana Hamilton.
Addressing his fans and followers in a Facebook Live, the Lynx Entertainment signee had Diana Hamilton’s smash single Adom playing in the background while claiming that he was in the best spirit.
KiDi’s response comes after he was filmed storming out of the event auditorium after he failed to clinch the apex award on the night and subsequently congratulating Diana Hamilton in a post on social media.
