The final session of the 21st Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) finally came off yesterday. The award night was lit up by performances from notable artistes within the country.

In spite of going on smoothly, a lot of entertainment pundits have lashed out to the organizers of the event for bot being fair in giving out the awards. Kuami Eugene surprisingly bagged home the biggest prize of the night by winning the VGA Artiste of the year.

Aside from this award, another award that was very competitive was the Afrobeats Sing of the year category. The category which has been dominated by Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale seemed more open this time around following their ban.

One artiste that was tipped to win the ategory this time around was Kelvynboy but it was Dopenation who won the award. However videos circulating indicate that, the ‘Mea’ hitmaker angrily walked out of the auditorium after losing out on the award.
