Janet Mbugua warns Willy Paul to not promote violence against women.
Willy Paul posted a video on Instagram where a man violently hit a woman, causing her to fall on the ground. Willy Paul then jokingly said something reckless about violent men.
Karate! Ladies kuweni rada, msinyime watu wa karate jut give them
That did not settle well with Mbugua, who is known to be at the forefront of advocating for gender equality and rights of the girl child.
The mother of two warned him against posting such videos that try to normalize violence against women. Janet wrote on his post and said that the post was reckless and not funny.
Gloria Muliro is also concerned.
This comes days after gospel singer Gloria Muliro said she prays for Willy Paul because she does not approve of some of the music videos he makes.
Muliro said she would work with Willy Paul again but they would first have to hold a talk to correct his errors. She urged Willy Paul to change and said that she does not agree with the music he does.
Willy Paul is doing well though.
The former gospel artiste beat big names such as Nyashinski, Sauti Sol, Masauti and Nadia Mukami to take the top spot.
Boomplay also collected data for the most streamed songs as well as albums. Willy Paul’s Mmmh featuring Tanzania’s Rayvanny came first in the top 10 Kenyan songs.
Honestly at this point the boy is living his best life and regardless of how he started it seems as if he’s unstoppable.
