Greenwood And Foden Sacked From England Squad For Secretly Luring Girls Into Hotel

Mason Greenwood and Phil Foden have returned to England after being removed from the Three Lions squad for breaching coronavirus safety protocols.

Gareth Southgate on Monday confirmed the young pair breached Icelandic COVID-19 guidelines after pictures showed them with two girls in a hotel.

Pictures of Foden, taken on Snapchat, were leaked online

Foden and Greenwood, who play for Manchester City and Manchester United respectively, were both omitted from training on Monday and kept away from the rest of the squad as the Football Association investigated the matter.

The FA later found that they disregarded both quarantine and behaviour rules and have axed the duo from Southgate’s squad.

England made their way to Denmark from Iceland on Monday afternoon for Tuesday’s Nations League clash, but Foden and Greenwood were arranged to be flown home separately.
