Social media users have descended heavily on Sarkodie after he came out to mildly criticise the NPP government.
Sarkodie has been tagged as an NPP supporter after boldly endorsing the party for the 2020 elections and calling on Ghanaians to vote for ‘Nana Toaso’
The rapper made an impassioned plea in the song ‘Happy Days’ featuring Kuami Eugene that with dumsor gone and free SHS, Nana Addo deserves a 2nd term.
After piling hardship after hardship on Ghanaians in the form of new taxes, high cost of living and always increasing fuel prices, Ghanaians are fed up and protesting everywhere.
Today, an historic protest by commercial drivers (trotro and taxi) has brought the capital to a halt.
Sarkodie, in order to look good, came out to give a lukewarm critique of the government. He wrote on Twitter:
“The people are going through it !!! We always do !!! All we ask for is the right environment to hustle/ be productive …”His tweet has not gone down very well with social media users.
Sarkodie was a vociferous critic of the NDC when they were in power yet whenever the NPP as a government are underperforming, he has nothing to say.
Even when he speaks, he shares vague stuff like what he wrote here.
