During Shatta Wale‘s latest interview on Zylofon FM, the Dancehall King touched on several issues within the Ghanaian music industry.
One of the main things he elaborated on was the fact that Ghanaian musicians were not investing enough in music videos.
As controversial as he is, Shatta Wale cited Fameye‘s 247 music video as a manifestation of the low standard of video of Ghanaian musicians.
“Our videos are not even crossing to Nigeria because of the standard. We are trying to look like we are shooting videos but if you check the props and everything you realise that a lot of things are missing.”
“Recently I was watching a video but I don’t want anybody to feel bad about it. I was watching Fameye and KiDi’s video and I was like it was sad. If I say poor, they will feel bad,” he stated.
Responding to Shatta Wale’s criticisms, Fameye has in a recent interview on Okay FM indicated that his 247 video is one of his best videos yet. However, he also acknowledged Shatta wale’s criticism and indicated that he would use it to improve on his music career.
“Shatta Wale is a senior man, I don’t have a problem with him. He’s a senior so when he says something like this, I must pay attention and improve upon myself”, Fameye said.
