If you loved Chris Hemsworth’s ‘Extraction’ movie, here is some good news for you: part two is already in the works.
According to reports, acclaimed screenplay writer Joe Russo has sealed a deal with streaming giant Netflix for a new installment of the action film.
However, it remains to be seen whether director Sam Hargrave and actor Chris Hemsworth, who plays Tyler Rake will return for the sequel.
The violent action film has been well received by fans and critics alike.
“The deal is closed for me to write Extraction 2,” Joe confirmed in an interview.
“We are not committing yet to whether that story goes forward, or backward in time. We left a big loose ending that leaves question marks for the audience.”
Hemsworth has also expressed his desire for another extraction film revealing in an Instagram video that he would be stocked to jump back in.
“There has been a lot of talk and questions about sequels and prequels and all sorts of things. All I can say is – Who knows? But with this amount of support, it’s something I will be pretty stocked to jump back into.”
Meanwhile, other reports also say that the film is headed to smash a huge Netflix record by becoming the biggest ever film premiere on the service with 90 Million households projected to watch it in its first four weeks.
