It’s official!
2022 is the ‘talk and do’ year. Barely weeks after Chance the Rapper tweeted his desire to be in Accra, the American rapper has touched down in the capital city.
A fresh video trending online currently shows the rapper linked up with Vic Mensa. Vic was also spotted days ago shooting a video with British rapper, Ivorian Doll and Ghana’s fast-rising singer and rapper, Black Sheriff in Nima.
Unfortunately, the American rapper may have just missed all the fun times Accra could have offered him during December. Perhaps, it was planned to happen during the calmer ambience of Accra in January.

In 2019 at the height of the ‘Year of Return’ campaign, Sarkodie, after winning the Best International Flow award at the BET Hip-hop Awards, urged people in the diaspora to visit Ghana.
“I think Africa has always had it, and it is about that time. This year is the Year of Return, and I will urge each and every one of you here to take a trip back home. When you’re coming to Africa, choose Ghana,” he said.
Following his speech, Chance The Rapper tweeted, “Year Of The Return #Ghana #HipHopAwards19.”
This sparked speculations, with many wondering if the Rapper would genuinely make an appearance in the country.
