Anyone following Nigerian mainstream media would have by now realized that the hashtag #EndSarsNow is making headlines.
Most Nigerians have taken to the streets and social media to protest against the incessant police brutalities in the country. A lot of Nigerian celebrities have joined hands and thrown their weight behind the citizens.
It was however surprisingly found out that Burna Boy was absent in all these protests. He was therefore called out on social media for not taking part of the protests.
‘The ‘Dangote’ hitmaker has however revealed why he could not take part in the protests. He indicated on Twitter that, his mother was battling with her life as she was operated upon which invariably means he had to be with her through that moment.
He wrote
“I was Dealing with a Personal Family issue at the Beginning of these Protests. My mum Had Serious Surgery last week! We were all invested in making sure she recovers! I am not about that “put it all out on social media” life. We decided the focus must solely be on this protest”.
