The Food and Drugs Authority as well as the Gaming Commission has warned all Ghanaian celebrities to stop endorsing alcohol companies and betting companies.
The are of the view that, by endorsing such companies, it might have negative effects on the youth.
However, a number of Ghanaian celebrities have come out to criticize this move. Wendy Shay even threatened to sue the Ghana Gaming Commission.
In reaction to these protests, celebrated Ghanaian actress, Ama K. Abebrese has lashed out at Ghanaian celebrities who are crying that the FDA and Gaming Commission has banned celebrities endorsing gambling or alcohol.
This, according to Abebrese, clearly shows that we are not serious as a country.
