John Dumelo Says Ayawaso West Wuogon District Assembly Has Ordered Him To Stop Dredging Gutters

Ghanaian actor turned politician, John Dumelo has revealed why he stopped the process of dredging a big gutter at West Legon.

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo who made it to the news a few days ago for facilitating the dredging has taken to Twitter to explain why the project has been brought to a sudden halt.

The decision to start work on dredging the gutter, he said, was informed by a promise he made to the community when he paid a visit to assess the discomfort residents face whenever it rains.

He was told gathered the gutter causes flooding when it rains. Despite the incessant calls on the powers that be to come to the rescue of the residents, the narrative has not changed.

However, Mr Dumelo in a tweet has said that the Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly upon seeing the reports on social and traditional media ordered him to stop the project.

He wrote; “The community in West Legon complained to me about flooding and I decided to help by deploying excavators to dredge the drains there. After 3 continuous days of dredging the site, Ayawaso West Municipal Assembly has ordered me to stop but I still Dey 4 my people. #wemove #idey4u”
