Kenyan Elsa Majimbo has made it to Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list for 2022.
The list is the most-anticipated annual compilation of game-changers in Africa and for 2022.
Elsa has many achievements including appearing on the cover of three international magazine covers.
She is also the brand ambassador of Rihanna’ sunglasses.
Elsa also has a film set to premier in Tribecca film festival in New York.
The documentary was unveiled Wednesday April 20 and is part of 109 feature films from 40 countries and 88 world premieres, and is written by Majimbo herself.
“My first film ever! I’m over the moon to have it premiered at Tribeca Film Festival. Shot in New York and shown in New York,” Tweeted Majimbo.
Every year the list features Africans under the age of 30 who are innovative entrepreneurs, tech geeks, sports stars, and influential creatives contributing to the continent’s growth.
New categories include health/science, which celebrates frontline workers, especially the young professionals, entrepreneurs and unlikely heroes set on reinventing the healthcare sector in Africa.
In previous years, the list featured names such as Luis Munana, Reinhard Mahalie, Mr. Eazi, Antonio Depina, Lloyd Harris, Siya Kolisi, Kabza De Small and Sho Madjozi.
This year’s list focuses on money and meaning, and the class of 2022 are shining a light on the issues plaguing Africa’s growth in a pandemic era, as well as working towards shifting the narrative in innovative ways.
