34-year-old George Waweru popularly known as DJ Kalonje is known for his popular mixes, music production, and video directing.
He also made history in 2017 when he became among the first Kenyans to be interviewed on the BET Awards Experience alongside Chipukeezy and comedian YY.
He also played alongside dancehall musician Konshens at the Dubai 7s in 2019.
During his mom’s birthday, the acclaimed award-winning DJ took to his Instagram post to wish his mother a happy birthday.
He attributed his success to her guidance and prayers, thanking her for being his biggest cheerleader and a mentor as well.
To top it off, he bought her a brand new navy blue vehicle as a sign of appreciation and to make her birthday.
“Mama accept this small gift to you from me. Happy birthday to you my mentor, number one fan. Your prayers are the reason I am where I am.” His post read.
Fans and colleagues congratulated him on the gesture as they also passed their birthday wishes to his mom.
