CNN Travel has named Samburu, Kenya, as one of the best places to visit in 2023
Samburu was recognized in the list of 25 places published on Wednesday, March 8, for being a haven for some of Africaโs most captivating wildlife, including rare species of Giraffe.
โThe national reserveโs grassland and acacia-dotted landscapes are home to the endangered reticulated giraffe and Grevyโs zebra, as well as the pioneering Elephant Watch Camp,โ CNN Travel reported.

The top spot went to Ugandaโs Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, which is home to nearly 350 bird species and 220 butterfly species.
Vietnam, New Zealand, Morocco, the Philippines, Australia, the Maldives, Jordan, Chile, Costa Rica, Colombia, Dominica, Norway, Slovenia, Turkey, Italy, the United Kingdom, Croatia, Canada, Alaska, Arizona, South Dakota, Utah, and China were among the 25 countries on the list.
Samburu has a wide range of tourist attractions, the most notable of which are parks, conservancies, and reserves.
Saruni Samburu, Sasaab, and Elephant Bedroom Camp, among many others, are some of the top luxury spots in Samburu with scenic views for tourists.
The county is also renowned for the โSamburu special five,โ which are unique wildlife species found in the Samburu Game Reserve.
Beisa Oryx, Reticulated Giraffe, Grevyโs Zebra (endangered), Gerenuk, and Somali Ostrich are among them.

According to the Tourism Research Institute (TRI) Report, Kenya will earn Ksh 274 billion from tourism in 2022 and receive up to 1.48 million visitors.
