In a Nation Media Group internal memo seen by the Star, the management said the refocus will result in a reorganisation of the workforce.

“This is an extremely difficult decision given the prevailing business environment,” the memo read.

“This exercise will be carried out with utmost dignity and in accordance with the Labour Laws of Kenya. We will strive to provide all the necessary support to help those affected to manage the transition.”

Mark had on July moderated the Nairobi gubernatorial debate alongside Zubeida Koome of KTN.

Mark started his journalism career at Radio Africa Group as a news presenter and reporter at Classic 105 before moving to NTV in 2008 as a news anchor and reporter.

At NTV, he hosted Press Pass, a TV weekly show that interrogated and critiqued the big stories that are covered by local media.
