Apple had her annual big event for the first time at the Steve Jobs Theater and announced the new iPhone 8 and iPhone X, as well as updates to the Apple Watch and Apple TV.

The new iPhone 8 and 8 Plus were announced as the event and here are some interesting things you should know about them


1. No home button or Touch ID

The iPhone X is all screen as it has always been the vision of Apple to create such a device. Since there’s no home button, the Touch ID option is also not available on this device.

2. Beautiful all screen design

The iPhone X introduces a revolutionary design with a stunning all-screen display that precisely follows the curve of the device, clear to the elegantly rounded corners. The all-glass front and back feature the most durable glass ever in a smartphone in silver or space gray, while a highly polished, surgical-grade stainless steel band seamlessly wraps around and reinforces iPhone X.

3. Available in either 64GB or 256GB

Unlike the normal models that go from 16GB to 256GB, the new iPhone 8 is either 64GB or 256GB.

 

4. Wireless charging

The new iPhone X makes use of no charging cables. There is a glass back and an embedded wireless charging system, which makes the iPhone X designed for a wireless future.

5. Face ID

Say hello to Face ID.  iPhone X delivers an innovative and secure new way for customers to unlock, authenticate and pay using Face ID, enabled by the new TrueDepth camera.

6. It is available in two colours

The iPhone X is only available in space gray and silver.

7. It is water and dust resistant

The new models are precision‑engineered to resist water and dust making it easier and better to take those underwater selfies.

8. Better camera

The new 7-megapixel TrueDepth camera that enables Face ID features wide colour capture, auto image stabilization and precise exposure control, and brings Portrait mode to the front camera for stunning selfies with a depth-of-field effect.
