The Super Eagles of Nigeria will be meeting their Argentinian counterparts in a friendly match today taking place in Krasnodar, Russia.
The clash is part of Nigeria Football Federation’s assessments to prepare the squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
It has been a good year for the Super Eagles who have only lost one game in 2017 in matches that star their squad members based outside of African leagues. They also went unbeaten through the final round of World Cup qualifying and became the first African team to book their place at the finals by starting with three wins in a row.
Now, the team faces their hardest test of the year so far in Argentina, who may not have Lionel Messi for this game but will not be short of goals between Paulo Dybala and Sergio Aguero.
It should be known that Nigeria has met Argentina seven times and won only one game, drawing one and losing five.
Here’s the line-up for the game according to GOAL.
