INGREDIENTS:

Unripe plantain
Salt
Oil
Water
Pear
Tomatoes
Garlic
Onions
Suya pepper
Lime

PREPARATIONS (Plantain Chips):

  1. Fill a bowl with cold water.
  2. Using a hand held food slicer, slice plantain into the bowl filled with cold water, then add salt.
  3. Heat frying pan.
  4. Add 2 cups of oil.
  5. Once oil is hot, quickly but gently add each slice of plantain to the hot oil, ensuring that not of the slices stick together.

PREPARATIONS (Avocado Dip):

  1. In a bowl with a fork mash the pear.
  2. Add chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, chopped garlic, and suya pepper, and then stir.
  3. Add the juice of a lime, and then stir.

GARNISH:

  1. Garnish guacamole with chopped onions and tomatoes.
